Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time are your services?

A: We are currently holding one Online Worship Service on Sundays at 10:00am. We continue to monitor CA guidelines for Covid-19 and will return to gathering in-person when it is safe for all to do so.

Q: When are the Sunday School/Religious Education classes?

A: In Unitarian Universalism classes for our children are referred to not as Sunday school, but as Religious Eduction (or RE). Our full curriculum for the children is held during the first service at 9:00am with childcare available during the 11:00am service. Children participate every Sunday during the first 20 min of the service. They are then sung to their classes for a 45 min age appropriate lesson facilitated by two teachers, under the guidance of our Director of RE.

For more information see our Children's RE page.

Q: Where can I learn more about Unitarian Universalism?

A: The Unitarian Universalist Association has many great resources about our faith. You may speak with our Minister, Rev. Alex da Silva Souto, at anytime, and throughout the year we hold “Chats with the Minister” and “Saturday Suppers”, both opportunities to learn more about SFUU and Unitarian Universalism. This short video form the UUA offers an introduction to why we are Unitarian Universalists.
