The Gathering Inn monthly newsletter, Inn-spire, has brought us up-to-date on programs and fundraisers, as well as our Angels of the Month.
Your continued donations of time, funds, and supplies are appreciated. We truly could not do our share without the support of everyone!! Current needs are disposable razors, shampoo & conditioner, Q-Tips, laundry detergent, bleach, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, men’s and women’s underwear, washable twin blankets (new or used) and towels (new or used). Just leave them at the Social Action Table/Basket.

AUBURN INTERFAITH FOOD CLOSET
Earlier this year, we told you about piloting a second shift. A group of volunteers come in to the food closet from about 1:30 – 3:30 to take over so that the day staff can leave on time. The second shift will finish processing late clients, prepare everything for the next day (eg, restocking, replenishing, reorganizing, packing, refilling, entering new-client data), and do the usual light cleaning.
Any SFUU member who is interested in participating in the pilot program and can commit to this schedule should contact Mary Lou Bailey at 530-885-5967. Please specify which day(s) and how many times per month you would be available. Currently the program is being tried on Monday and Wednesday, and we hope to start Fridays on March 1.
