SFUU Silent Auction - Join the Fun!
![]() Are you ready to do some bidding? Please take a look at the catalog of items that will be up for bidding at the silent auction.
How the Silent Auction works:
Members donate items, services, dinner parties, trips – a wide variety of great things – that get put up for Silent Auction. For example, you see an outing – maybe a hosted local hike with a picnic lunch – that you’ve always wanted to do. The minimum bid might be $20 – so you bid that. Well, you come back and check your bid a little while later only to discover others have bid a bit more. You want to go on this trip – so you up your bid. This goes on until the bidding closes.
How the evening goes:
Arrive at 6:00 pm sharp so that you have time to review all the items. Typically there are 8-10 tables with 10-12 items on them – all available for the silent auction. The tables close one at a time – about 15 minutes apart. This allows you to keep up with your favorite items so you don’t miss out.
Dinner is served early – dinner is included in the price of your auction ticket. It’s a great way to socialize with fellow members and friends. Wine and coffee are served.
How you can participate:
Donate something!
A dinner party, legal services, baby sitting, outings – think of something – be creative – and join the fun. We need quality donations from everyone in order to make this year’s auction a success. Please email sfuunews@pacbell.net or call Joan Lacktis at 916-435-9026 or see Joan in church to let her know what you can donate.
Volunteer for the auction!
Help is needed working the auction – contact Ann Denison - hortonwho@surewest.net if you want to help. Help needed includes – set up and clean up, food service, ticket taking, etc.
Attend the auction and bid on ‘stuff’!
Don’t miss the party and don’t miss SFUU’s number one fund raising event of the year. Bidding, winning and attending outings and dinners– these are some of the best ways to get to know the other members. Tickets are available from Linda Cramer after church – or email her for ‘will call’ sales - cramerenv@gmail.com.
The auction is Saturday March 27th from 6-9:30PM at the DeWitt Senior Center. There will be food, entertainment, raffle prizes, and more fun for the whole family. Buy your tickets from Linda Cramer after church.
