The short video below gives some background on Unitarian Universalism. If you are interested in an in-depth class on Unitarian Universalism check out our UU 101 curriculum.

Religious exploration is part of the path towards a meaningful life. Whether you have left a religious tradition or have begun searching for your first religious home, we welcome you.

After you've attended a service or two, or are a first time visitor, please fill out this Newcomer Welcome Form so we can add you to our eBeacon email list and keep you informed about all the great things going on at SFUU. If you would like information mailed to you please email our administrator with your request.

You matter to us! Let's find ways to ask deep questions, explore together for the answers, respect one another as we strive to understand humankind, and love the whole planet enough to make things better. That's what Unitarian Universalism is all about.

There are links below to some information to help you get acquainted with us.

A Welcoming Congregation

SFUU is an official Welcoming Congregation which is a designation from our denomination, the Unitarian Universalist Association. It means that we actively strive to welcome all persons who identify on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) spectrum. We know that not all religions welcome all people and at SFUU we think it is important to explicitly state our commitment to affirm the inherent worth and dignity of EVERY person, including aspects of our lives such as sexual orientation, choice of partner, gender expression and identity, or family construct. We fly a rainbow flag most Sunday mornings to let the community know we are a welcoming congregation. You are welcome here. We hope to see you soon!
