Imagine a gender-equal world. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Greetings from Joan Harris - Director of Religious Exploration

2026 is off to a vibrant start! From youth service projects to interfaith exploration, here is what’s happening in our Religious Education community:

Our Whole Lives (O.W.L): Lindsay Dunkel (UUCM) and I are co-facilitating the Our Whole Lives sexuality education program for nine local youth, alternating Sundays between SFUU and UUCM.
Youth Activities: Our kids have been busy making cards for elders and playing laser tag. Upcoming highlights include a teen bowling night and serving dinner at The Gathering Inn.
Religious Exploration: I am currently editing the UUA curriculum for our congregation. This month, CYRE is learning about Hinduism, and I will join Rev. Sangye to lead an adult session on Islam on March 15.

Middle and High Schoolers Bowling Night!

Join us at Foothills Bowl in Auburn
