Love and Thank Yous to all the families who participated in our Christmas Pageant!
SFUU Announcements

Thank you all for your generous donations to our holiday gift drive for Nor Cal Resist!  I wasn’t able to include pictures of the 2 new bikes but you can imagine the happiness they will bring. And, huge appreciation to Tricia Caspers for leading the effort this year and to Rick, too for helping with shopping.  My heart is full and I hope yours is, too.
From Carol Koons and Tricia Casper and the Social Justice Team

Mark your calendars:

We have scheduled a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 11:15 (following the church service). There will be an Update and Voting Opportunity from Visioning Task Force.

The Visioning Task Force (VTF) was formed in the Fall of 2025 following the February 2025 Visioning session attended by interested members. The VTF was asked to think about and investigate long-term plans (5-10 years out) for SFUU. Three main organizing questions were:

·       Finances

·       Ministry

·       Physical space/building

The VTF has focused on investigating possibilities and drafting recommendations to present to the congregation. It is expected this will be repeated several times. The VTF wants to give maximum consideration to The Voice of the SFUU Congregation through the visioning notes from Spring of 2025 and Congregational meetings (this will be the first of several).

Members of the Visioning Task Force are:
Amy Hansen, Liaison to the Board of Trustees and Chair,
Marsha von Dessonneck and Maureen Bauman.

A New Year, A New Class

Following worship on Sunday, February 8, you are warmly invited into the beginning of our new monthly Prayer Circle—a sacred and gentle space for quiet reflection and shared intention.

Together, we will explore the beauty and power of prayer in its many forms. We will hold in care those in our community who are experiencing crisis, lift up beloved family members and friends, and offer our collective compassion where it is most needed. There will also be an opportunity to create a small personal object—something tangible to support and comfort you in the practice of forming, holding, and sending loving intentions.

The Prayer Circle will gather in the Founders Room at 11:30 a.m. and will last approximately one hour. All are welcome—whether you come with a long-held spiritual practice or simple curiosity.

Please join us for a time of contemplation, shared reading, and gentle exploration of the sacred.

 Social Justice News and Action!
Create abundant Justice. Author and activist Adrienne Maree Brown reminds us that, yes, there are enough resources, enough love, and connection to continue our work to create beloved community. The way you do this is to care.  Care for yourself as you would others. In this season of celebrations, travels, and gatherings, remember to take time to rest, renew, and rejuvenate. The new year promises to be busy and joyful.
Have a peaceful holiday season and see you in the New Year.
in joy and faith
