Hospitality and Closing
Church hospitality plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and positive sense of community for both first-time visitors and church members. A strong church hospitality ministry ensures that everyone who walks through the doors feels valued and appreciated.
Volunteers are necessary to make this happen, so SFUU’s Hospitality Team seeks folk who are kind, attentive, and have a heart for service. Bonus: No committee meetings! The team consists of people willing to help set up, serve, and clean up at SFUU special events when available and able. (Celebrations of Life, concerts, parties).
An important subset of Hospitality is the Sunday Coffee/Closing group. A rotating group of two-member teams handle the after-service Coffee Hour. Duties include setting up the Social Hall for snacks, making coffee, and cleaning up afterward (trash collection, light dishwashing, sometimes locking up the building.)
Bonus: No team/committee meetings! Just contact Ann Denison for general hospitality, and either Ann or Mary Piette for the Coffee/Closing team.
