Protests
Members of our congregation will protest for issues related to our values. Unitarian Universalists support the democratic process both in our congregations and in society at large. We side with Justice (we work for a better world for everyone), Equity (we work for a peaceful and fair world), and Pluralism (we make room for different cultures, experiences, and beliefs).

In Auburn, nearly 30 SFUUers joined a crowd of an estimated 2000 people peacefully protesting in support of democratic principles. See below for some photos of the Auburn protest.

Yet another nationwide day of protest surrounding the precipitous actions affecting people’s health care, personal data, jobs, and services. Many of us gathered at the corner of Bell and highway 49, others participated in similar rallys in Roseville and downtown Sacramento. See below for some photos from the Auburn event.

Jan 18, 2025: the People’s March
Many of the justice issues that we support are likely to suffer under the new administration. So, a few of us went up to Nevada City to participate in a People’s March on January 18, 2025 to get energized for the work ahead. See below for some photos from this event.
